Carrie is a Tax Principal at Brown Plus. She has over 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to privately held and public companies, with a specialization in insurance taxation.
Carrie is a leader within the Brown Plus Insurance Practice, which provides a full range of audit, tax and advisory services to insurance companies across the country. The Brown Plus Insurance Practice is one of the nation’s largest audit practices as ranked by AM Best. Within the practice, Carrie specializes in providing tax compliance, tax provision and tax consulting services to insurance entities.
Carrie is passionate about the insurance industry and is highly active with numerous professional associations within the insurance community. She has served as a subject matter expert for the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC) and the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA).
Prior to joining Brown Plus, Carrie most recently served as an Insurance Tax Practice Leader for a top national accounting firm, where she created, grew and led the firm’s National Insurance Tax Practice.
Carrie earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She also earned her Master of Science in Taxation (MST) degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. The MST degree distinguishes exceptional tax professionals who are well-versed on the theoretical and technical aspects of taxes and tax law.
